Job Description
JOB TITLE: Test Technician
DEPARTMENT: Any of Quality/Manufacturing Engineering/Product
Engineering/Test Department
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A: Purpose and Scope The test technician is responsible for mechanical and/or electrical testing of materials, devices, and products as well as test fixturing and general test equipment maintenance.
B. Responsibilities The test technician accumulates and records electrical test data for materials, devices and products; calibrates and maintains test stations and equipment; develops test fixturing; and performs general test department maintenance. The Test Technician is also responsible for complying with quality systems procedures, as required.
C. Organization Relationships The test technician reports to the appropriate department manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training The test technician is required to have completed, at least, a technical (2 year) college degree program.
B. Technical Requirements The test technician is required to complete a supervised training program as well as read and understand any pertinent training or department procedure manual.
C. Experience No prior experience is required.
