JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing Engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A: Purpose and Scope A manufacturing engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture of The Company's products.
B. Responsibilities Improving overall processes and related issues including process development, scheduling, creating process documentation, product assembly and production processing, problem solving, and program management. Other duties include the design, installation, and debug of tooling and capital equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required.
C. Organization Relationships The Manufacturing Engineer reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training Manufacturing engineers must have a four year engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in a field related to The Companies assembly or production processing needs. Prior experience is strongly preferred but not required.
B. Technical Requirements Four year college degree in a technical field. Experience in product/process development in similar products as manufactured by The Company is preferred.
No prior managerial experience is necessary, but supervisory experience is preferred.
